Why don’t they have high speed rail in India yet?

they have high speed in china, japan and even russia can’t a rapid cheap effective high speed rail transport build in india as there is in Europe. perhaps rather than wasting money on comman wealth games they could build a high speed rail or at least a skyscraper for slums of mumbai

It isnt very easy and cheap to construct a track for a high-speed rail link. We have seriously achieved good speeds in existing infrastructure and w cannot run a high-speed rail link on this. We have thousands of trains running every day on our tracks along with freight and various other things. roper planning,completion of formalities,supressing oppossers are many things we have to do to build the same.
