Peeling Gel
Retin a gel. Been using for a week now my skin became red and painful peeling. How long will this last?

If Please share your experiences with this gel. And how long will my face is like that? It looks a mess! Thank you for your responses. I was to stop using, but reading the instructions it will make your skin this way, so obviously carried on using it. As someone said it made their lips Peel … Mine are exactly the same thing! and it seems that I have a bad coldsore. Thank you for your new adviser think I can discontinue use of this and come back in contact with the doc!

Burn-like reaction, such as red and peeling skin is a common reaction to Retin-A. It takes about four weeks, which is unfortunate. You can reduce side effects by reducing your consumption. If it starts to become like blisters, is probably going too far. Start with one application every two days. If this does not work, go to all three days. You can increase your dose again when you feel that your skin can handle it. The good thing about this is fabulous, soon after, looking skin. My personal journey has been one of the most embarrassment. My often told people that I was using a chemical peel treatment at the spa. People seem to respond better that when I told them that I put on my face the acid to remove dead skin cells and debris. :-) It's a bummer, you can ask your doctor. Apparently, once you are on this program is for life. Your skin adjusts to Retin-A and reinforces the dependence of the latter to maintain the desired result you want. Good luck. Personally, I feel good about my overall experience and results with Retin-A treatment. You can also ask your doctor about Differin. It works much the same as Retin-A, but is milder. At least that was my experience personal.
