When should girls begin using cleaning and moisturizing products on face?
My daughter is almost ten. She has always rinsed her face in the morning and before bed. She doesn’t have any issues with acne, and neither did her father nor I.
She has friends with some minor acne, and I suspect she’ll be reaching puberty in the near future…mood swings, stomach aches, interest in boys, etc. What should she use to wash her face and moisturize? I don’t want to buy her anything very harsh or unbalance the Ph in her skin. What are other ‘tweens using?
All products have chemicals in them. I’d
suggest she keep doing what she’s doing
now since she has no skin problems. There
is plenty of time for moisturizing her skin
when she gets much older. For now, leave
well enough along (if it ain’t broke – don’t
fix it).
