Is a really deep cleansing facial as good as Microdermabrasion?

Having olive skin Ive been told there may be a risk doing microdermabrasion as it may cause hyperpigmentation so Im wondering if a really good facial once a month will help get rid of light scarring and redness of my skin from old spots – what do you think?

Well, deep cleaning is to get rid of acne and blackheads.
Microdermabrasion is really to get rid of scars and extra skin that may cause acne.
