Eye Protection
what to wear for eye protection at NIGHT?

during the day I wear sunglasses, which are very effective. At night
I wear my eye glasses (they are not required for driving). But the wind
makes my eyes water and it interferes with my vision. Obviously I need bigger eye glasses, or something like a goggle. What do you wear at night, assuming you don’t wear a full-faced helmet.
I assume those at Walmart are cheapie plastic lens, no? I will check it out.

I don’t wear a full-face helmet, in fact I don’t wear any helmet. I picked up a pair of Performanceyewear RF3 glasses at my local Harley dealer. They have a removable foam piece between the glasses and your face, sealing out the wind. I wear contact lenses and I no longer get specs of dust blowing in that gap which can really hurt. They also have interchangeable lenses, smoke, amber or clear. I put in the smoked lenses during the day and change to the clear ones at night. They look like a pair of sunglasses, but they’re much more. There’s also a strap you can snap on so they won’t blow off if you turn your head when riding. Remove the strap and the foam piece and they can be regular sunglasses. I should have gotten them a long time ago. They’re very flexible. They weren’t cheap, $40, but it was money well spent.
