How to adjust the color tinted moisturizer?

Just bought a sunscreen / moisturizer tinted Aubrey Organics is to about 2 shades too dark for my complexion. I do not really want to return it, so how can I adjust the shade to make it clearer? Would adding moisturizer plain white work?
