HEAR, SAY…: Please plan ahead
Monday, July 5th, 2010 14:11:00 The 23rd Malaysian Film Festival was to be held from July 16 to 18 at the Putra World Trade Centre. However, too near to the date, the event was called off by the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS) due to ‘technical problems’ with official broadcaster, RTM. Best Ways to Get Rid of Skin Tags

Getting rid of skin tags with a scalpel or scissors is a common and easy way to get rid of skin tags at home. Make sure the blade you use is sharp and sanitized (use an open flame, rubbing alcohol, or hydrogen peroxide), and cut as quickly and closely to the healthy skin as you can. Some bleeding may occur, but shouldn’t last for more than a minute. Tweezers may also be used to pull the skin tag off. Getting rid of skin tags this way will likely be painful, and you might want to numb the area first with an ice cube, or other cold substance.

Skin tags are soft flaps of skin that vary in size from very tiny to the size of a pencil eraser tip. They do not cause pain unless they become twisted, constantly touched by clothing, irritated, or inflamed. Skin tags are likely to grow on skin surfaces that are hot, moist, or frequently rubbed. Skin tags usually appear around the neck, under the arms, under the breasts, in groin creases, and on the inside of the upper thigh area. The reason skin tags form is not known.

The removal of skin tags is generally a cosmetic consideration as they very seldom constitute a health threat. As a rule insurance companies will not pay for these procedures as the are usually cosmetic only. However, if the skin tags increase in size, color or bleed. Consult your health care provider immediately.

The natural methods in his book are easy for anyone to do in the comfort of their own home. Many of the supplies needed are readily available right inside of the home. The program is guaranteed to remove moles, warts, or skin tags, or customers will receive their money back. The offer is backed by a 60 money back guarantee.

To get rid of skin tags, you can get them cut. For this, it’s better you go to a doctor. In case you wish to do it on your own, make sure you use a sanitized blade or scissor. The best option is a nail clipper. The key here is to cut the tag as close to the root as possible. As it is a little painful, numb the area beforehand, with the help of ice. Bleeding might also occur, but it will last only for a moment or two.

Cryotherapy as an alternate to electrocautery involves freezing the skin tag by applying a cold fluid such as liquid nitrogen and then removing the dead skin after the tissue has been totally destroyed.

The most common way of removing a skin tag is grasping the skin tag with forceps and then cutting the base of it using scissors. Bleeding caused by removal of skin tag can be stopped by normal pressure instead of using anesthesia.

To get rid of most skin tags, you can safely remove them at home by using a pair of sharp, sanitized nail clippers. (Skin tags that are located on the eyelids should only be removed by a medical professional.) Make sure that you dab some rubbing alcohol on the skin tags first with a clean cotton ball. Also, rub some alcohol on the blades of the clippers before you begin. If you’re worried about pain, rub an ice cube on the skin tag to numb the area beforehand. Then, carefully snip it off at the base, being careful not to cut the skin around it.

(1 AAA rechargeable battery included)

Green Hexagon Solar Stepping Stone (sold individually and in a 3-pack)

Each 15-inch wide, heavy duty poly-resin stone can support up to 250 pounds. At night, an illuminated pathway is created by four super bright LEDs in each stone. The extra-wide lighting chamber in each stone diffuses ultra bright light. (1 Ni-MH AAA battery included)

It’s a beautiful lawn or garden ornament that doubles as a light source! One particular product that is most sought nowadays due to its amazing result is the chemical peels. Although there is now a variety of chemical peel products offered over the counter and online, it is still imperative to consult a medical authority to look and evaluate your skin and be able to know what it needs for a change in appearance.

Chemical peels are one skin treatment technique used to improve and soften the texture of the facial skin using a chemical solution that causes the dead skin to slough off and ultimately peel off. The regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled.

However, there are some chemical peels that are safe to be used and done at home.

Selecting a chemical peel for the removal of acne scars, especially the ones that you will use in the privacy of your home, depends on a couple of different factors such as how bad your scars are and how much money you are willing to spend. In any case, facial peels have proven to be an effective tool in combating acne scars.

Facial peels work through the use of chemicals applied to the skin that burn off the top layers of skin thereby exposing new layers of fresher and radiant-looking appearance. Common types of chemical peels that can be used at home include Lactic Acids which are good for hyper pigmentation problems. Glycolic Acid is good for normal to oily skin types. Meet Mark
Where do I buy Meet Mark cosmetic products?

I would really like to buy make up from Meet Mark.
Is there somewhere I can get it besides ordering it online? A specialty store or a drug store or something? Does Ulta carry it? I’ve never been to Ulta, but I’ve been to Sephora and they don’t.

Unfortunately, mark. is not available in stores. It is only available through mark. (and Avon) reps, or through those reps websites.

And yes, there are now some Avon reps that have started Avon Beauty Centers, but they are few and far between.

Can I ask why you don’t want to buy online? They have a 100% satisfaction guarantee so that you can get a refund for anything you don’t like.

Bronze Step
I would like to invest in a 10ft bronze statue of myself, perhaps with me helping the Queen step over a puddle

Do you know which company would make this for me? Also, which local authority might like to have it in a prominent public place? I could just donate it to them, but I wouldn’t mind if the tax-payer contributed to my costs

LOL! You’re obviously a legend in your own mind. Have fun.

Resistant Sunscreen
A couple of sunscreen questions?

When my daughter is out in her pram and I have the sunshade covering the pram do I still need to put sunscreen on her? The sunshade is uv filtering but I can see that light still goes through onto my daughter and we go walking for an hour everyday in the hot sun so is a sunshade enough protection? I have been putting sunscreen on her anyway but is this necessary?
Also we are taking her to the beach this weekend and I am wandering if it is ok to put adult sunscreen on her if we take her swimming. The baby sunscreen we have for her isnt water resistant so I was thinking I would just put adult sunscreen on her body. I will put the baby sunscreen on her face because its gentle on eyes and she dosnt put her face under the water anyway.
She is 6 months old is it ok to put adult sunscreen on her?
I havent put adult on her yet. I have baby sunscreen but it is not water resistant. So I was wandering if I could put some adult sunscreen on her arms and legs when I take her swimming. Thanks

Put on baby sunscreen every time you are taking her outside and reapply it after she has been in the water. Also keep a hat on her head and do not put her in the sun during the hottest part of the day , and consider a swimming cossie that covers her arms and shoulders as well or else just put a T shirt on her. With any small children and even if they haven’t been in the water reapply the sunscreen after an hour or so. Better to spend money on sunscreen than have her sunburnt.
