Bronze Camouflage
Which is the best Desinger skin Tanning lotion?

I was just going to buy some tanning lotion and was seeing what you guys thought was the best.

( before I spend 40$ on a lotion.)
Ray of Sun or Boutique BRONZE camouflage are
they any good?

If you dont know of any of these items, but know of other Designer skin products that are good please tell me!
What about Faker, its a splash, Designer skin product.
Thanks everbody so far for the answers!
Please if you read question please tell me your Answer!

Assuming you want to tan for real (i.e., in a tanning bed or in the sun):

Designer Skin lotions are decent lotions, but most of them contain bronzers (both instant coloring and self-tanners). So, if you’re not wanting to be self-tanned (DHA) by the lotion, then be sure to choose one that contains no bronzers. There are plenty of good tanning lotions available on the market, but their performance depends upon your skin type.

Type I-II: tans slowly and lightly, burns frequently
Type III: tans moderately, burns somewhat
Type IV-V: tans well, rarely burns

Assuming a non-bronzing lotion… Type I-II skin will always take time to tan (several weeks to possibly several months) to get reasonable color no matter the lotion. Type III skin tans reasonably fast, but could possibly burn if stay out too long. If you’re a type IV-V, any lotion will work well, you’ll tan very fast and you really don’t need self-tanners. Accelerators work on all skin types, but to varying degrees. For example, type I-II skin will tan only slightly faster. But, the accelerator could just as easily accelerate a burn.

So, you’ll need to determine your skin type and what you really want out of the lotion to determine the type of lotion you should buy. I personally use Hoss Sauce brand. But, not many salons sell it. You can find it on the web, though. If you want to try some lotions without all the high in-salon costs, purchase them from online web sites (see sources below).

If you have sensitive skin like I do, I’ve never had problems with Designer Skin, Hoss Sauce, California Tan, Swedish Beauty or John Abate. You’ll want to smell the lotion before slathering it all over, though. Some lotions have very intense (and not very pleasant) smelling fragrances (especially after you’ve tanned). So, visit a salon and smell them (or buy a sample to try) to find out if you like the fragrance.

Lotions to avoid are Supre and California Tan. I’ve had sensitivity problems to Supre (rashing). California Tan really does nothing for my skin (it’s not even that moisturizing) and doesn’t accelerate tanning.

If you want solely a fake bake:

The tanning lotions mentioned above are a waste to buy. Instead, you’ll want to buy a self-tanner that you can get elsewhere. The best self-tanner that I have used that has the most realistic look is Famous Dave’s self-tanner. It has no fragrance (which is perfect as all self-tanner fragrances are horrid once combined with the developer smell). It glides on smoothly (not streaky) and develops to a reasonable color (not too dark, not too light). You can always apply a second time if you need it darker. L’oreal also makes decent self-tanners, but they contain fragrance. There are other self-tanners on the market as well, but most of them have horrid fragrances.

You can also opt to visit a salon with a spray tanning machine (Mystic or Mist-On). Avoid Magic Tan salons as apparently these units produce poor and splotchy tans. Always ask if they are using original solutions their units. Knock off solutions can turn unwanted colors.

Good luck.

Day Solution
Why must a solution standardized be used the same day to titrate a sample?

Because if you’ll wait for another day, the concentration of the standardized solution might change again due to several factors such as degradation, reaction to sunlight etc. So you will have to standardize again. Thus, it is best to use the standardized solution on the same day it was standardized.

After Moisturizer
Is it ok to not apply moisturizer after toning?

I have facial wash and toner but no moisturizer. I have oily skin so is it ok to not apply moisturizer? I use Neutrogena.

Moisturizer is very important even if you have oily skin. Not moisturizing can actually make your skin produce more oil to compensate for the initial dryness after washing. It’s best to wash with the appropriate cleanser and tone then apply an oil-free moisturizer…some even have oil control.

Whisper Tanning
How to be confident and not let people walk all over you?

In my school I have some friends who joke around and we call each other names but when I’m by myself the loser girls group start making fun of me and saying that I have a big nose. Then in class they will say my name really loud and whisper into each other’s ears (pretending that they are talking bad about me on purpose). I don’t have any good comebacks and I’m getting sick of it. I even told them to stop but they do it worst. And the worst part is that i let the loser group get me down. I DON’T EVEN HAVE A BIG NOSE! Well it’s medium but i can’t help it that im 100% italian! And they make fun of my eyes because they are blue, and other people are fascinated that i have blue eyes and somewhat tan skin and dark hair. HELP!

They can’t push buttons you don’t have. Never in life let anyone see you sweat. You make their day when you get mad. It can bother you on the inside but no one knows about those buttons until you show them. The best way to get them is to ignore them. They do it to get the reaction they get from you. To hurt their pride ignore them and it will defeat the whole purpose. Show them that it doesn’t bother you anymore. Sit far away as possible and read the book, listen to the teacher read a magazine, do homework in class.. whatever ever you have to do.. do it. Life will always be that way even as adults people do it but learn not to show it and they will never know. You can pick your battles you don’t have to address that b/c in life your ACTIONS speak louder than words.. You will probably be the one to go farther than them in life and they know it but want to hold you back. Don’t let them smile b/c they are paying attention to YOU. In the Bible these people are called Foot Stools

Surely White
America- choose wisely. Surely the people cannot endure another cretin in the White House?

You are gonna need another Lincoln.

We try, to the extent we actually have a choice in the matter, and to the non-extent that Americans agree with one another. These are the real problems. That and the influence of money and on our election process.

Had no end of questions the last several years going to Europe, say I didn’t vote for Bush, get “what! you didn’t vote?”. Sigh….

Soap Lot

Your New Favourite Soap

Everybody needs soap. You use it to bathe and to wash you hands. It seems like soap is just a necessity like any other. Have you ever wanted that to be different? Soap doesn’t have to be boring. There are so many different scents out there that you can go through.

With all of these different scents and different types of soap, if you ever do get bored with your soap, you can change it. Find the right soap for you to invigorate you in the morning or relax you in the evening. You could even try to make your own soap. This can make your experience with your soap far more interesting. To know that you made the soap that you use can be wonderful. It can also be a nice personal gift. You could make your own soap, and give it to your friends and loved ones.

Soap can be as fun as you want it to be. Even if you do not want to make your own soap, there are things that you can do that will be equally as fun. Perhaps you enjoy the idea of a nice bar of soap as a gift. While your every day grocery store soap will not do the trick, there are specialty soaps out there that are made with the specific intention of being used as gifts. While it may not sound like the best gift to some people, these soaps can be great centerpieces on the bathroom sink.

There are a lot of places that sell soap. Some of them sell good quality soap and some do not. Some focus too much on scents, but do not spend enough time working on the actual soap. This can leave you with dry skin or even rashes in some cases.

Getting in to soap can be fun, but you should make sure that you get good quality soaps. If you give a poor quality bar of soap as a gift, it just does not work quite as well as if you give a good quality bar of soap.

If you are interested in making your own soap, or finding good gift soap, you can visit www.botaniesoap.com. All of their soap is natural and organic, and they can accommodate all of your soap wants and needs.

Accelerator Dental

10 Reasons Why you Should not Travel Abroad for Dental Treatment

With medical and dental tourism in the news so often, and the amazing amounts of money that can be saved by travelling for treatment, some people are just rushing into the process without considering all the implications involved. Here are ten reasons why you shouldn’t travel for dental treatment abroad.

  1. You want Accelerated Treatment – Your local dentist has told you that the work you want done will take four months! You have heard that Dentists in other countries will be able to do the work over a week. The first thing here is to understand why. Why is it going to take four months with your local dentist? It could simply be that he is busy and can’t fit you in, or there could be delays with the manufacturing lab. However, normally it’s because you are looking for a lot of work to be done and your dentist wants each piece of work to settle in before starting on the next piece of work. There are different opinions on how long should be left between particular dental treatments, but if you have been previously advised that your treatment should be spread over 6 months it is inadvisable to try and get a dentist abroad to provide the same complicated work in what might be too short a time period.

  2. You need Orthodontics / Braces – Normally orthodontics require regular adjustments, sometimes as often as every two weeks. This is when your dentist will tighten/loosen the braces according to the movement of your teeth and is how they ensure that your teeth end up where you want them to be, so it is incredibly important. Some dental tourism clinics will offer this service locally in your home country (see RevaHealth.com to find out which), however most will not. For this reason orthodontics are normally unsuitable for the aspiring dental tourist.

  3. You are Afraid – You are afraid of your dentist. The question that you have to ask yourself is – are your afraid of your dentist or are you afraid of all dentists? If you are only afraid of your own dentist then it is far easier to just find another one locally. Ask your friends and family for a recommendation. Travelling abroad to escape your local dentist is ridiculous. If you are afraid of all dentists then you will likely be just as afraid of the dentist overseas. Then there is a good chance that you won’t complete the treatment you need, which will leave you in a far worse position than when you started.

  4. Small Savings – Travelling to a different country for dentistry, unless it is only a short drive away, simply isn’t worth it if all you are going to save is €500. You have to think of the travel costs, accommodation, etc. You also have to value your time, be it time off work or holiday time. On the other hand though, minor dental treatments, such as teeth whitening, can be easily combined with a holiday or business trip. The savings can then offset some of the cost of the trip.

  5. You don’t want ‘unnecessary’ treatments – Your local dentist wants to do extensive preparatory work before starting on the work that you want done. It is expensive, and likely to be painful. While it can be tempting to think that by travelling overseas you will be able to get a dentist that will only do the work that you want done, this is normally inadvisable. If you do end up travelling the dentist overseas will more than likely agree with your local dentist and refuse to continue without the preparatory work. The best advice here is to seek a second opinion locally or consult one of the reputable dental tourism clinics fully by providing them with a panoramic x-ray before travelling.

  6. Your local dentist refuses to treat you – Your local dentist has said that you are not suitable for a particular treatment: for example, gum disease may make dental implants inadvisable. You don’t know if he is trying to dismiss you because he simply doesn’t want the hassle or he doesn’t have the expertise/equipment to do the procedure successfully. You think that if you travel abroad you will be able to pressure the dentist into doing the treatment because of time constraints. This is always a bad idea. The best advice here is as above. Seek a second opinion locally or consult a reputable dental tourism clinic fully by providing them with a panoramic x-ray before travelling.

  7. You don’t like travelling – For a lot of people travel is a bonus and the exposure to a foreign culture is its own reward. However, for some people it is simply harrowing, and the home sickness, communication problems and unfamiliarity make it an altogether unpleasant experience. If you don’t enjoy travelling then the additional stress will make you a poor patient, and you are probably better off staying at home, even if it ends up costing you more.

  8. You don’t like responsibility – Dental Tourism can offer terrific savings, as much as 75%. However it simply isn’t suitable for people who are not prepared to take some responsibility for themselves. You have to spend considerable time researching your options, reading about other patients’ experiences and then also be prepared to return to the destination if follow up work is required. Choosing the wrong clinic or the wrong treatment because of your own lack of effort or knowledge could leave you in a worse position than when you started. Likewise if you don’t bother to complete your specified treatment plan.

  9. You want a holiday – While it is perfectly feasible to combine minor dental work with a holiday, in general dentistry isn’t a lot of fun. If you are looking to have significant work done then it fairly unlikely that you will be in the mood to go out night-clubbing afterwards. This doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy yourself; it just means that you will probably have to take it easy to give yourself the best chance of a problem free recovery period.

  10. You haven’t done your research – It is absolutely vital that you research your dental tourism questions thoroughly before you travel. Make sure you know exactly who your dentist is going to be, where and when they qualified, how many times they have preformed the treatment you will be having, and what their success rate is. Ensure you know how much everything is going to cost and what requirements there are for follow up work.
